New York Magazine Feature

At dMAD we believe that great collaborations generate great results. Having done many projects over the years with the A-list interior design firm Pappas Miron Design, helping principal Zan Pappas design her new home in Greenwich Village was especially rewarding. Her gut renovation of this early post-war apartment building unit was envisioned as a sophisticated European abode. Inspiration was found in northern Italian design elements and soft Mediterranean finishes in order to accentuate the apartment’s classic Bauhaus lines. The results have been beautifully captured in the August 2021 New York Magazine print edition and Curbed online -

“Work From Home” meant DUMBO (for the most part)!

As part of the Brooklyn neighborhood’s pandemic reopening process we were asked to suggest solutions to Dumbo Open streets!

Gramercy Park Project featured in Marie Claire Maison Italia!

We are thrilled to have one of our favorite apartment projects featured in the ever stylish and trend-setting Marie Claire Maison- Italia. Our full gut renovation done in conjunction with the interior design studio of Kenneth Alpert Design Group is cool study in grey, defined by classic tailored spaces and clean and understated details. Arch Digest Design Show 2019

House Beautiful features our custom TV cabinet design! →

Our recently completed Upper East side Apartment project has been featured in January 2019 House Beautiful! The article showcases the simple but inventive way we designed and detailed the sliding panel to conceal the living room TV. The door was detailed with a steel edge and plaster finish over an aluminum honeycomb core to minimize weight while retaining rigidity. The panel runs on concealed wheels and metal track recessed into the stone counter to allow for a natural movement.
